MyStartupGrants is designed to be used without an account. This policy explains the limited information we collect and how we use it.

Information you give us

If you send a message through our contact form or subscribe to email updates, we collect the details you provide — typically your name and email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you and, if you subscribed, to send occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure processes basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type to serve pages and protect against abuse. We apply a short-lived hashed record of your IP address purely to rate-limit form submissions; it is not used to identify you.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site stores small preferences (such as your light or dark theme choice) in your browser’s local storage. The admin area uses a single session cookie for staff sign-in only.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run third-party ad networks or behavioural analytics that build a profile of you.

Third-party services

We use a hosting provider to run the site, an image delivery service for media, and an email provider to reply to messages. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Grant listings link out to third-party websites that have their own privacy policies.

Data retention

Contact messages are kept while we handle your query and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your message or subscription data at any time.
