About this grant

Eligibility

Founders

Indian founders; the startup must not have received more than ₹10 Lakh of monetary support under any other central or state government scheme.

Company

DPIIT-recognised, incorporated not more than 2 years ago at the time of application, with a business idea to develop a product or service with a market fit, viable commercialisation and scope of scaling.

Location

Registered in India.

Prior funding

Up to ₹10,00,000

Benefits

• Grant of up to ₹20 Lakh for proof of concept / prototype / product trials
• Up to ₹50 Lakh for market entry and scaling via convertible debentures or debt instruments
• Structured mentorship and incubation support from the host incubator

How to apply

Apply on the Startup India Seed Fund portal, selecting up to three incubators. Shortlisted startups are evaluated by the incubator's selection committee.

1. Create a Startup India account and obtain DPIIT recognition
2. Apply on the Seed Fund portal and select up to three incubators
3. Present to the incubator's Seed Management Committee
4. On approval, sign the grant agreement and receive milestone-based disbursement

Application window: Applications accepted on a rolling basis through approved incubators.
